Great gift - S. Rose - Aberdeen, Scotland
Takes a while to get the knack of starting it, but addictive once you get going!

Powerball neon pro- amber - SQUIDGEY -
Great item. Tried a cheaper version / brand and broke instantly - so would really recommend this!

Bought on a whim - Mr. S. Medcalf - Nottingham
I have to be honest and admit I bought this because I liked the look of it and was somewhat intrigued by what it did. I was really pleased with it when it arrived and after mastering it used it quite a bit for a few days, they are great excercise and definitely live up to their billing when working. I have never dropped it or mistreated it in any way but for some reason now it will not go any longer, there seems to be no reason for this, its just packed in so I am a bit disappointed in it at this stage.

Fitness Mad Strong Grip Hand Exerciser Strong

Fitness Mad Strong Grip Hand Exerciser Strong Review

I have the medium strength version. It is light-weight and semi-translucent with a softly textured matt surface. It measures approximately 6 x 4cm and is the same size as a large chicken egg. Fits comfortably in the palm with the narrow part pointing in the same direction as the thumb. Gripping the whole egg with the arm in a right-angle to v-shaped position gently exercises the wrist, forearm, and biceps. Each finger can also be exercised by pressing the egg between the thumb and 1 finger. Great to warm up the hands and I also use it occasionally during a quick break from computer work. Convenient washable design, so I will be ordering an additional one for the office.

Almost worth 5 stars... - SupremeDalek -
This is great...the material is really pliable so you can really work your wrist/hand etc. Only problem with it is the egg shape which is too small for my hand (to be fair, only by a little). Add some rubber bands around your finger tips to exercise the wrist extension (i.e. opposite motion to the gripper) and you'll rehab an injury in no time!

Unusual shape but great worker - Mr. S. Baer -
The eggs do exactly what I'd hoped they would. They seem to be far more effective for building the wrists and forearms, than most other products of same price range.

A egg shaped rubber ball!! - Aj Sutton - Coventry, England
This is essentially just a egg shaped rubber ball that you squeeze. I bought the 'strong' ball but was actually a bit surprised to find it slightly easier to squeeze than i anticipated. It is about the size of a big egg and for my hand size i felt it was slightly too small as it is actually quite difficult to involve all the fingers in a single squeeze.
I do actually wonder whether just buying a tennis ball and squeezing that would not have much the same effect, but if you have small hands perhaps this may be the best option.

Science Musuem Strength Ball

Science Musuem Strength Ball Review

and rather than the other two reviews I couldn't disagree more. I've got one of these and it's a great bit of kit. I can only imagine that they bashed the counter around to break it. It's only an LCD screen. I've used this for a week now and I haven't found anything that's as good for focused exercise of the grip, wrist and forearm. Well there is the powerball, but it's the same thing, just more expensive!

I was recommended this by a friend that is a golfer and squash player and would recommend it to anyone how needs to improve grip or forearm strength. For therapy or a real workout, at this price I can't see you being disappointed. Just take care of the digital counter.

Science Musuem Strength Ball Overview

Beware: a limp handshake is the first sign of weakness. And one your enemies may use to your disadvantage. The key to protecting yourself from such situations is this: the Strength Ball. Within the Strength Ball is a gyroscope - a rotating wheel that appears to defy gravity once it spins. To set it spinning, pull the red cord. Your challenge: rotate the Strength Ball in your hand as fast as you can, using the in-built LCD digital display to see how many rotations you can do per minute. The record is 12,000 revolutions. The Strength Ball increases your muscle condition in your hands, wrists and arms. Regular use can lead to greater grab strength as well as improved circulation.

Customer Reviews

I have still not received this purchase - Julie D. Evans -
Could someone please email me and let me know why i haven't received this product - if i had i might be able to review it

Satisfied - Kenneth Boyle - UK
I use the strength ball and found no faults, lost interest in it quite easily but still use it from time to time...would say a little over priced but overall a good product

Meh... - Andrew Mackenzie - Scotland
I'm on my second Strength Ball. The first one was broken by my little brother; I don't know how he did it but but I came home one day to find the thing snapped in half. And the one I have now has a broken LCD screen even though I have no idea what I did to it and there are no visible signs of damage.
The Strength Ball is not as durable as, not as good looking as, of a poorer quality than and cannot go anywhere near as fast as a Powerball. The only reason I never got a Powerball instead was because I was too young at the time to purchase online.

Great fun, but ultimately ripped off from superior Power Ball - A. D. K. Miller - London
I had no idea what a Strength Ball was until someone gave it to me as a present and as soon as I started playing with it I was hooked. To put it simply it is a ball within a ball. The whole thing is about the size of a tennis ball. You start the interior ball rolling with a piece of string and thereafter the aim is to keep it rolling by holding the Strength Ball and moving your wrist around. Sound boring? Then give it a go and see what you think. I think you'll find it strangely addictive. Not everyone picks it up as easily as me but then I am a natural at most things ;-) I really wish I could end the review there, but unfortunately the digital display broke after one day of ownership which is obviously not good enough. So I agree with the other reviewers. It's a superb toy, good exercise and very addictive BUT it is very poorly made. Go for the superior Power Ball instead.

Powerball Neon Regular - Red

Powerball Neon Regular - Red Review

As the title suggests it was difficult to work out how to get the damn thing going. I tugged the string and twisted my wrist with the versatility of a contortionist for about half an hour. I all but gave up hope once I realised that there were no instructions included in the box. I visited the website, read a few paragraphs and had the ball rotating within seconds. I've not put it down much since. My forearms are stronger, as are my fingers. My wrist feels tighter and less fragile than before. All this after just four days.
Bottom line, even if you're sceptical - buy it. You'll love it.

The Basics - C. M. Ho -
Buy it for simple endurance training, if you wish to see how well you go buy Pro Powerball series, they have monitors on top of them, which make them harder to grip but tells you how well your doing.

Its best to play with a regular first, after all you'll get bored of these things eventually - saving your money.

power ball, for rehab, fun, exersize - Yvonne Howard - lanzarote
Puchased this item for my son who has carpul tunnel in his hands, the whole family use this, as it is great fun as well, ideal if you having party, to pass this round to see who can keep it going the longest., weather it will be of benefit to my son's hands, we will have to see, its a case of , "thanks mum, and yes I will use it, when I have time", but my daughterinlaw, says she will use it to improve her upper arms (bat wings)

Powerball Time - P. J. Nonfjall - Denmark
First I was very skeptic, but when I used it for the first time, I really could feel it work.
It's fun to sit with and it's also challenging to start it with the thumb.
